Jeepers.</p>
Well, not much has changed since that last post. I'm still not crafting. "Taking a break from crafting" seems to have turned into "completely lost interest in crafting". In fact, I'm planning to pack up a lot of my crafting stash into storage tubs and put them in the cellar. I can't see myself crafting any time soon and my craft room is a tip and needs sorting and clearing.</p>
I have, however, still been creating. All the creative energy that used to go into papercrafting has been channelled into drawing and painting.</p>
I'm particularly proud of the painting because it's not something I've ever really done before. I've always drawn, ever since my childhood, but never really had a proper go at painting. But I really felt like having a go so last school term I managed to find a painting class that fitted in just perfectly with my kids' school/nursery hours. It was a fabulous class, with a really great, supportive teacher, and in 8-9 weeks I was able to create two paintings.</p>
The first was a portrait of my DD2, painted in acrylics on stretched canvas. This was my first ever proper painting and I'm so darn proud of it that I've had it framed. :)</p>
<a href="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/AimeePortrait-Crop_zpsce38eec6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/AimeePortrait-Crop_zpsce38eec6.jpg" height="600" width="400" /></a></p>
The second painting was a full-on fantasy one. :) The theme of the class for the term was "contre-jour" (a style of painting featuring a strong light source in the back of the painting).. though this one is technically contre-nuit. This was painted in acrylics on canvas board.</p>
<a href="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/Fantasypainting001_zps644c46da.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/Fantasypainting001_zps644c46da.jpg" height="600" width="400" /></a></p>
Unfortunately, I can't continue with the class this term as DD2 has started nursery class at the local school and goes every day for just 3 hours, so it's not possible to fit in a class around her hours. </p>
However, I have carried on painting at home, when I get chance, and have done this acrylics on canvas board portrait of Tom Wisdom as the Archangel Michael in Dominion (my new favourite TV show). </p>
<a href="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/Michael-watermarked_zps4b2ba08d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/Alipeeps1/Artwork/Michael-watermarked_zps4b2ba08d.jpg" height="400" width="600" /></a></p>
As well as the painting, I've also been doing a LOT of drawing. I've really enjoyed getting back into "traditional" art and hopefully the more I draw/paint, the more I will improve at it. :)Alihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00773854234969474782noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4949177743853341094.post-36462266455942181552014-04-01T19:36:00.000+01:002014-04-01T19:36:30.921+01:00Drawing up a storm<div style="text-align: justify;">
As per my last post, I've been taking a bit of a break from crafting to recharge my creative batteries, as it were. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have still been creating but rather than papercrafting, I've been drawing. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've done a whole bunch of sketches recently and have turned several of them into digi stamps. All these stamps are now available in the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_artdeco_preview_zps7a60f36d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_artdeco_preview_zps7a60f36d.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_elwynn_preview_zpsd5c8862f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_elwynn_preview_zpsd5c8862f.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_flora_preview_zpsa7e73818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_flora_preview_zpsa7e73818.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_melancholy_preview_zps4e0916dc.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_melancholy_preview_zps4e0916dc.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_naomi_preview_zps7ffbbf17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_naomi_preview_zps7ffbbf17.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_forestelf_preview_zps74e6fb91.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Digi%20Stamps/aa_forestelf_preview_zps74e6fb91.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And I've been playing with the original pencil sketches which I used for the digi stamps, colouring them in in different mediums...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured in Flora using my Prismacolor pencils (this scan doesn't really do it justice - my scanner seems to struggle to pick up the subtleties of pencil colouring):</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/Flora-Contrast_zps577aaf0f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/Flora-Contrast_zps577aaf0f.jpg" height="311" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And I shaded in Forest Elf just using a plain HB pencil:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/ForestElf_zps6590e3c2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/ForestElf_zps6590e3c2.jpg" height="400" width="305" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've also done some other fun drawings recently... for a "Draw Me" challenge, I responded to a challenge to draw myself as a character from Doctor Who and drew myself as a Time Lord:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/AliTimelord-Levels_zpsf7dad7ef.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/AliTimelord-Levels_zpsf7dad7ef.jpg" height="400" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And for a challenge to draw a crossover of Sherlock with a video game, I drew Sherlock and Watson as, respectively, a Mage and a Paladin from World of Warcraft! :D</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/sherl-levels_zpsd1e98255.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/Drawing/sherl-levels_zpsd1e98255.jpg" height="400" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm really enjoying getting back in drawing and sketching. Am even looking into possibly taking some art classes in the summer term...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Things have been crazy busy so far this year and as a consequence I've been feeling a bit burned out, creatively. <br />
<br />
So I've decided to take a bit of a break. I've arranged a hiatus from my Design Teams and am taking a couple of months to recharge my creative batteries, maybe tidy my craft room a bit, and give myself some time without deadlines to enjoy playing and creating without pressure and hopefully get inspired again.<br />
<br />
So I hope to have some new creations to share with you soon. :)<br />

Time for a new challenge at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> and the theme is For a Boy.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card I've used this sweet <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_46&products_id=401">Blockhead</a> digi stamp by Stitchy:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-1_zpsc8085be4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-1_zpsc8085be4.jpg" height="383" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-2_zps5c8255cd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-2_zps5c8255cd.jpg" height="400" width="313" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
...and teamed it with nostalgic pastel papers, a die-cut greeting, and some pretty flowers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-3_zpsb950f0c5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/203-3_zpsb950f0c5.jpg" height="272" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can enter the challenge as many times as you like if you use a Stitchy Bear product and will be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries not using a Stitchy Bear product are limited to 3 and will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher to the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>.</div>

Another <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> card from me, this time using Ching Chou Kuik's The Koi:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/TheKoi2_zpsf8c720fa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/TheKoi2_zpsf8c720fa.jpg" height="310" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/TheKoi4_zps7d0a455a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/TheKoi4_zps7d0a455a.jpg" height="400" width="342" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

Time for a new challenge at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> and this week it's Anything Goes - so go crazy, use your imagination, make anything! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've used Crafty Girl's <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_114&products_id=3357">Love Hand Doodle</a> digi stamp to make an eastern inspired card:</div>

This week at <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> it's our Featured Artist Week and this month the DT are featuring the gorgeous artwork of one of the newest additions to the roster of Sweet Pea artists, Charity Dauenhauer. I chose to work with this beautiful stamp called Vintage Heart:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart1_zps8e033817.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart1_zps8e033817.jpg" height="390" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the mix of steampunk, fantasy and romance in this image - just perfect for a Valentine's card, actually. ;) I coloured the image with a mixture of Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils and carefully cut around it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart2_zps31f6490b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart2_zps31f6490b.jpg" height="400" width="322" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I decorated my card with papers in warm tones (and continuing the heart/romance theme ;D) and textured gold mirri card. I added some delicate vintage lace and layered the image over it using foam tape.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart3_zps3a9fe4fd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart3_zps3a9fe4fd.jpg" height="271" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the warm glow that this textured mirri card gives when the light hits it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart4_zps0679bd5b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/VintageHeart4_zps0679bd5b.jpg" height="355" width="400" /></a></div>

Time for a new challenge at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> and this week it's "Use a Digi". To enter the challenge you need to use a digi element somewhere on your creation - that could be a digi stamp, digi papers, even a computer-generated sentiment.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card I used this fabulously cute and sassy "<a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_115&products_id=3524">Anna Mae Party Bunny Girl</a>" digi stamp by Scrapper's Delight.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-1_zps462b58fa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-1_zps462b58fa.jpg" height="383" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Isn't she fab? I love her cute and manga style. I coloured her with my Promarkers and gave her some quirky pink hair. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-2_zps5e43574c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-2_zps5e43574c.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I seem to be on a bit of a pink and blue craze in my cards lately and this one is no exception. I used some pretty patterned papers and a die-cut frame (cut from sparkly pink card) and embossed a panel of card to fit inside the frame. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-3_zpsfc58f8a8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-3_zpsfc58f8a8.jpg" height="336" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I finished things off with some little dots of Perlen Pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-4_zpsa6479e07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/200-4_zpsa6479e07.jpg" height="251" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter the OSAAT challenges but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries not using a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher for the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>.</div>

This week is Variations Week at <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a>, where all the Design Team create projects using the same stamp. I always love Variations Week as it's so amazing to see how people can take the same image and create such amazingly different projects using it. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The image we're using this week is a new stamp from Concetta Kilmer called <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_145/Concetta-Kilmers-Digi-Stamps.htm">Rose</a>:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Rose_zps1ce8acad.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Rose_zps1ce8acad.jpg" height="392" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I went for a soft pastels colour scheme for my card and decided to colour the image using my Prismacolor pencils, for a nice soft effect:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Rose-Close1_zps707aae17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Rose-Close1_zps707aae17.jpg" height="400" width="348" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I die-cut the image out using a decorative oval die and decorated my card with pretty floral papers. I layered on a doily and a punched border strip before attaching my image using foam tape. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To finish things off I added detail around the edges of the image and in the corners of the card using a pink Perlen Pen.</div>

Valentine's Day will soon be upon us and the challenge theme at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> this week is naturally all about love... :) To enter our challenge, make a project using the theme "With Love" - you can interpret that however you like. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card this week I used this pretty digi stamp by My Heart Pieces called <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_104&products_id=2275">Beautiful Nature</a>:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-1_zps06ed5844.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-1_zps06ed5844.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image with my Promarkers and used a white gel pen to add highlights:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-2_zpsb0aa4037.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-2_zpsb0aa4037.jpg" height="400" width="315" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I cut the image out using my favourite decorative oval die and kept my card fairly simple with some patterned papers in toning colours and a length of decorative canvas ribbon.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-3_zps7f0431d3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/199-3_zps7f0431d3.jpg" height="400" width="288" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

For my <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> creation this week I am using an image from one of my all-time favourite Sweet Pea artists - Ching Chou Kuik. I just love her beautiful, stylised women and the fabulous detail in her drawings. Her work has a real sense of mystery, and often melancholy, to it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This digi stamp is one I hadn't worked with before, called Northern Nightfall:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-1_zpsb2925fb0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-1_zpsb2925fb0.jpg" height="366" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured this image with my Promarkers in soft pastel colours. I just love the little unicorn in this image. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-2_zpsa24c1fe3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-2_zpsa24c1fe3.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I mixed pale blue cardstock with pastel pink shabby chic-style paper for my card and added decoration with a length of lacy ribbon, some die-cut leafy flourishes and lots of pretty little flowers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-3_zpsfac37fe1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CCKNorthernNightfall-3_zpsfac37fe1.jpg" height="285" width="400" /></a></div>

We're giving you free rein this week at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> with our ever-popular Anything Goes challenge. It does exactly what it says on the tin - make anything you like, no limits! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card I've used this cute <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_46&products_id=2214">Boo Boo Bee</a> digi stamp by Stitchy Stamps. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-1_zpsd42a675c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-1_zpsd42a675c.jpg" height="400" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image using my Promarkers:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-2_zps22934d36.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-2_zps22934d36.jpg" height="400" width="262" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And I kept my card fairly simple with some sparkly yellow paper and some honeycomb embossing on my cardstock panels.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-3_zps61a50e29.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/198-3_zps61a50e29.jpg" height="282" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter the OSAAT challenge but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries without a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into a draw to win a $3 git voucher for the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>.</div>

Helena Reis is one of the newer additions to the fabulous range of artists whose stamps you can buy from <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> and I love her cute yet quirky style. This week I chose to work with one of her recent releases, this adorable stamp called Amelia:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-1_zpsd0a278ca.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-1_zpsd0a278ca.jpg" height="400" width="397" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added a couple of highlights here and there with a white gel pen. The oval frame of the image makes it perfect to cut out ready for use on a card.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-2_zps360ec366.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-2_zps360ec366.jpg" height="400" width="301" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I decorated my card with patterned papers in pretty pastel colours and added some lengths of ribbon and lace and some die-cut leafy flourishes:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-4_zpsdb19a52b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-4_zpsdb19a52b.jpg" height="223" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To finish I dotted a border with a pearl white Perlen Pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-3_zpsfbd6e6e8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Amelia-3_zpsfbd6e6e8.jpg" height="400" width="325" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All of Helena's lovely stamps are available in red rubber or digi format from the <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/">Sweet Pea Stamps store</a>.</div>

This week's challenge at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> is one to hopefully make you get creative and think outside the box... the theme is White + 1. So on your project you can use only white and one other colour (and also skin colour - that's allowed). It's harder than you might think! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card I was using this cute and sassy MeowMe digistamp by BBKakes:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-1_zps28a42855.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-1_zps28a42855.jpg" height="397" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured in the image with my Promarkers using only skin tones and shades of orange and then carefully cut her out:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-2_zps3b7a769b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-2_zps3b7a769b.jpg" height="400" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I trimmed a panel of white card to fit my card blank and die-cut a decorative aperture in the centre before embossing the entire panel (the pattern reminded me of tiger stripes) and blending a little Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink around the edges.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-4_zpse4634189.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-4_zpse4634189.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I attached the panel to my card front and added some die-cut leafy flourishes and attached my cut-out image over the aperture using foam tape. To finish I dotted some Perlen Pen around the aperture.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-3_zpseb07c499.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/197-3_zpseb07c499.jpg" height="400" width="316" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter our challenge but if you do, you'll have a chance to win our main prize for this week. Entries not using a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher for the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>.</div>

Each month at <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> we showcase the work of one of our fabulous artists and this month it's the turn of Charmaine Flannery. For my creation this week I chose to work with her Blue Mermaid digi stamp:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid1_zpsa6f6f94d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid1_zpsa6f6f94d.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils and added some white Perlen Pen to the bubbles:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid2_zpsdc1ab0c2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid2_zpsdc1ab0c2.jpg" height="400" width="335" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid4_zps9dd95b07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid4_zps9dd95b07.jpg" height="400" width="281" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I decorated my card with patterned paper and used a gold marker to edge the paper and the image. I attached the image using foam tape and layering it over a decorative doily.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid3_zps8a3395be.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid3_zps8a3395be.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I finished off the card with lots of pretty blossoms and some flourishes dotted with the Perlen Pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid5_zps022bf19c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/BlueMermaid5_zps022bf19c.jpg" height="281" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can find all Charmaine's gorgeous stamps in the <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/">Sweet Pea Stamps store</a>, in both red rubber and digi format.</div>

Time for another challenge at <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch at a Time</a> and this week we are asking you to Use a Digi. That could be a digi stamp, digi papers, even a computer-printed sentiment. Or heck, your entire creation could be a digi one, if you want! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card this week I've used this sweet Fairy GunGun digistamp by My Heart Pieces:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-1_zps793e8d44.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-1_zps793e8d44.jpg" height="398" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I coloured this pretty little fairy using my Promarkers...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-2_zps8fa8be88.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-2_zps8fa8be88.jpg" height="400" width="395" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
...and teamed her with some gorgeous floral papers and die-cuts that came free with a crafting magazine:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-3_zpscb7605f3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-3_zpscb7605f3.jpg" height="400" width="318" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-4_zpse3d3a77f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/OSAAT/196-4_zpse3d3a77f.jpg" height="400" width="261" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The challenge runs for a week and, as ever, you don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter but those who do will be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries without a Stitchy Bear product will have the chance to win a $3 gift voucher to the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:</div>
<br />

Things have been kerrr-azy busy here lately and consequently I am running a teensy bit late with this post - whoops!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyhoo, after our epic 4 week long challenge over the holidays, <a href="http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">One Stitch At A Time</a> is back with a new challenge for the new year and the theme is - Starting New. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For my card I used Ike's Art's fabulous <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_96&products_id=2211">New Fairy</a> digi stamp:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-1_zps9acc081a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-1_zps9acc081a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured her in with my Promarkers and carefully cut her out:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-2_zps63f906fc.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-2_zps63f906fc.jpg" width="287" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I teamed her with some lovely seasonal Graphic45 paper (a freebie with a magazine) and layered her over a large blossom (I liked the idea of the fairy sitting on a flower) along with a piece of chiffony ribbon. For a final touch I and added some lovely shimmer and sparkle to her wings with some Stickles:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-3_zps2148122b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/195-3_zps2148122b.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We are back to our weekly challenge schedule now so you have until Saturday evening (UK time) to submit your entry. Don't forget, you don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to win but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries without a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher for the <a href="http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/">Stitchy Bear store</a>.</div>

It's Variations Week once again at <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a>, where all the Design Team get to create with the same image. This month we are using Rebecca Sinz's gorgeous Wither:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither1_zps1eddcaa6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither1_zps1eddcaa6.jpg" height="392" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love Rebecca's gothic women and this pretty stamp is no exception. I coloured her with my Promarkers and cut her out using a decorative oval frame:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither2_zpsf551fba1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither2_zpsf551fba1.jpg" height="400" width="332" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I used some vintage style papers for my card and finished things off with some delicate flowers...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither4_zps847aebba.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither4_zps847aebba.jpg" height="400" width="370" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
....and some Perlen Pen flourishes:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither3_zps839a439e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/Variations-Wither3_zps839a439e.jpg" height="400" width="288" /></a></div>

That's the January challenge theme at the <a href="http://www.onesweetchallenge.blogspot.com/">One Sweet Challenge</a> blog and I thought I'd incorporate this into my creation for <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> this week. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been feeling quite arty lately and the black and white theme made me think of the contrast between black ink and white paper so I decided to do a doodled card. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard1_zpsf69db4a3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard1_zpsf69db4a3.jpg" height="400" width="388" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I used Helena Reis' adorable Joy Is... A Basket Full Of Cats digi stamp and shaded it simply using a HB pencil. I then carefully cut around it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard2_zps6558adf7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard2_zps6558adf7.jpg" height="400" width="260" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I rounded the corners of a 7x7" card blank and cut a panel of card slightly smaller than that and rounded the edges too. And then I just went to town with my Uniball fineliner, doodling a frame over which to place my image, a greeting and some pretty flowers and butterflies. Finally I added a simple border around the cardstock panel.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard3_zps4cde7589.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard3_zps4cde7589.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To finish the card, I simply adhered my doodled panel to the card front and attached my cut-out image using foam tape. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard4_zps2d4f9c61.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/BampWCard4_zps2d4f9c61.jpg" height="282" width="400" /></a></div>

For my <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> creation this week I decided to keep things simple with a technique I love - white on white. I used Karen Middleton's <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_148/Karen-Middletons-Digi-Stamps.htm">Free Love</a> digi stamp:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-1_zpse6ad5e9e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-1_zpse6ad5e9e.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love doing white on white cards, they are so striking and effective. :) I coloured the digi stamp in pale colours, using my Promarkers, and giving her some pretty pink hair:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-2_zps5cbd5c09.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-2_zps5cbd5c09.jpg" width="268" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To add texture and interest to the card, I embossed a square of cardstock using a pretty Anna Griffin embossing folder:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-4_zpscf6c733c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="295" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-4_zpscf6c733c.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I die-cut my coloured image using a decorative frame and attached it using foam tape and to finish I added some layered flowers cut with my Cameo, with a white pearlised centre:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-3_zps16218062.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/FreeLove-3_zps16218062.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife1_zps739d2f69.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="382" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife1_zps739d2f69.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I coloured this striking image using my Promarkers:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife2_zpse0bb4de7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife2_zpse0bb4de7.jpg" width="188" /></a></div>
<br />
And teamed it with patterned papers in neutral, earthy tones. I added a piece of twill ribbon and some pretty blossoms...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife3_zps91c2d225.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife3_zps91c2d225.jpg" width="255" /></a></div>
<br />
...and attached my coloured image using foam tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife5_zpsb5938501.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife5_zpsb5938501.jpg" width="275" /></a></div>
<br />
To finish I added a die-cut filigree butterfly and some dots of Stickles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife4_zpsb71de605.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="261" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/NectarofLife4_zpsb71de605.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This stamp is available in both red rubber and digi format from the <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/">Sweet Pea Stamps store</a>. And don't forget that until tomorrow, all digi stamps are on sale at 25% off.<br />

This week for <a href="http://sweetpearubberstamps.blogspot.com/">Sweet Pea Stamps</a> I'm sharing a quick and simple card I made using Helena Reis' Cherry Blossom Dreams:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams1_zps2be5f94c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams1_zps2be5f94c.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I coloured the image using my Promarkers in pretty pastel colours:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams2_zpsfe8c9167.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams2_zpsfe8c9167.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And used similar coloured paper, ribbon and flowers, along with a couple of decorative brads and some gemstones, to complete my card:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams3_zpsb51d014e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams3_zpsb51d014e.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams4_zpsfc164173.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae67/Alipeeps2/DT%20Work/Sweet%20Pea%20Stamps/CherryBlossomDreams4_zpsfc164173.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
