WOYWW - 19 October 2011

Another early early morning WOYWW from me again this week as I've got to be up early in the (proper) morning to get DD1 up and dressed and fed and out of the house in time for her appointment to have her new shoes fitted. Ah, the glamorous, whirlwind life of the stay-at-home mum!

So here's what my workdesk looked like at around 1:30am today (and will still look like until probably about 8:30pm, if I'm lucky!):

Gracing the desk today is a quick card for I threw together to give to DD1's retiring physiotherpist at her appointment today, several in-progress ATCs of varying designs, and the usual clutter of scraps , tools, bits and bobs and stamps needing cleaning. Oh and also my Panasonic Lumix compact camera which has served me well these past four years but which now seems to have died a (hopefully temporary) death. It just won't switch on. :( Am hoping it's a battery issue and have put the battery on to charge (despite only having charged it at the weekend). I had to snag DH's digital SLR to take these photos!

Also gracing the teetering pile beside the desk (it was on the desk but got moved aside briefly to allow for cardmaking) is an in-progress scrapbook page:

I did take another photo, while I was snapping away.... I took a photo from the doorway, recording the craft pit in all it's chaotic "glory". But I don't think I'm brave enough to share it with you! Maybe next week... after I've tidied... a bit... ;)

Thanks for stopping by my desk on your WOYWW journey. Please do leave a message to say hi. :)

You seem to work in the same sort of way as me, surrounded by all the things you might need for what you had thought of. I like it.

Ah Ali, your floating letters still causing me to smile! We have the same camera, I've had mine for longer, so I hope that it is just a battery prob for you - I'd be bereft without mine. The in progress LO is gorgeous. Hope DD is happy with her new shoes, what a thrill!

Great card and cute LO...I have a space just like yours ....but its my bedroom too. Funny thing is ,I have found I am more inspired and can find things with greater ease, when I'm not tidy. xx

Hope you've managed to resuscitate your camera by now. Your desk looks pretty good from here, but if there is one thing Ive learned from WOYWW it is just how revealing and edifying the Wednesday photograph can be ... maybe we'll see the full monty next week :) Elizabeth x #55

Hi Ali from Terri in Louisiana, USA. It is beautiful here as I am sure it is there in October. You are a great mum -- I like how y'all say "Mum" Enjoyed looking at your cards; I've yet to show my desk because it is only my second time with WOYWW and am still posting what I've made other the past couple of weeks; seems I go in spurts that way.
