I did something a little different for my card for this week's digi Wednesday at the Sweet Pea Stamps blog...
I started colouring in this gorgeous Enchanting Gold digi stamp by Ching-Chou Kuik, giving her lustrous red hair... and decided that I actually liked the contrast of the red hair against the white of the rest of the image so much that I didn't want to detract from that with too much extra colour...
So I kept to just two colours - red and gold - and coloured the skin areas very minimally, with just a hint of pale grey shading:
I left the background uncoloured and added some sparkle with Stickles over the gold-coloured areas:
To keep with my "theme" I went for a very bare, "clean and simple" look for the card itself, adding just some sparkly gold ribbon and a few dots of red Stickles. I think the overall effect is quite striking. :)
You can buy this image in either digi or red rubber format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.
