WOYWW 189

It's been a productive evening in the craft room tonight (technically it's Wednesday as I write this post but as I've yet to go to bed it's kind of still Tuesday in my mind!)... I've been playing with the stack of digi stamps I've coloured recently and have made a couple of cards... although once again I can't show them yet!

But here's the post-creation crafting debris littering the desk:

And hiding away, half buried amongst the chaos, is one thing I can share with you this week... you see, the postie was good to me today and brought me this:

I've been lusting after these ever since getting a Suzi Blu book for Christmas so a couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and ordered but they've taken a while to get here. But here they are at last, so tonight I had a first play at colouring with these scrummy new pencils, and this is the result:

I'm not entirely happy with the skin tones but for a first attempt I'm quite pleased with it. :)

And speaking of things I'm quite pleased with, after my photo showing the chaos of my lounge mid-redecoration in last week's post, a few of you were interested in how it turned out. Well, here it is:

I'm very happy with it. It's lovely and cosy now (makes such a difference having colour instead of plain white walls!) and the colours are perfect for the room and tone beautifully with the fireplace - and after 3 years it's nice to finally have some curtains in the lounge!

And for those of you who were interested in seeing the cards I mentioned making (but again wasn't able to share at the time) in last week's post, I'll be posting one of them to my blog later today so feel free to pop back and have a look. :)

Thanks for stopping by on your hop around the WOYWW posts... I am going to try and visit more WOYWW posts myself this week and comment... I always intend to but somehow the week seems to get away from me!

WOW your lounge looks great! I've had my Prisma colored pencils for almost 20 years and love to work with them. I use a blending pencil all the time and it really helps for the skin tone. I think the older ones might be just a tad softer led than the new ones, but they are great just the same.

Love the colouring with the new pencils and your room looks lovely - I am not sharing a desk as away from home looking after my friends cattery but enjoying having a good look around everyone else's desk
