The news is out!

I've been bouncing around giddily about this for a couple of days now but the official announcement has now been made and I can finally share my news with you...! :)

I'm thrilled and honoured to say that I've been invited to join the Design Team at Sweet Pea Stamps! :) I just looooove their images and am so excited to be working with them on a regular basis. What's even more exciting is that Sweet Pea Stamps have started offering some of their images as digi stamps (and regular readers of this blog will know that I love the instant gratification stash shopping of buying digi stamps!) and I will be working as part of the new Digi Design Team, specifically showcasing the fabulous range of digi stamps.

So expect to see lots more Sweet Pea Stamps projects from me, both here and at the Sweet Pea Stamps blog.

In fact, there's already a project by me up at the Sweet Pea Stamps blog - not actually a digi image this time but working with one of Elisabeth Bell's adorable rubber stamp images. Here's a sneak peek:

Head on over to the Sweet Pea Stamps blog to see more. :)

(And don't forget the fabulous special offers still on - until end of tomorrow - at Sweet Pea stamps... 30% of all rubber stamps and if you buy 10 digi stamps (in one order) you get a $6 gift voucher for the store!)

WOYWW 163

Another wet and windy Wednesday is upon us (okay, so it's pretty early in the am and I'm assuming that's how the weather's gonna be when I get up but, let's face it, based on recent experience the odds are in my favour!) and it's time to brighten up your day by taking a spin around crafty desks the world over!

Not much to share on my desk I am afraid. I have actually just finished up a card but seeing as it's a DT one, I can't really share it with you just yet. Darn.

So instead, to add a bit of interest to this week's photo, I've dumped on my desk a few pretty new craft purchases for you to nosey at:

A bunch of U-Mount, to mount more of my ever-increasing stack of Sweet Pea Stamps. A set of Andy Skinner stamps, a funky new Sizzix stamp and emboss set, and another Sizzix die, and a few random packs of embellies.

I do also have something else to share with you this week, although it's not something tangible that can sit on my desk. Instead, it's some exciting news. I've actually known for a while but things were a bit too crazy busy last week for me to get chance to blog about it so I thought I'd do it today instead...

I've been invited to join the Design Team at the One Stitch at a Time challenge blog. :D

I looooove Stitchy Bear digi stamps (you may have seen me wittering on about them previously on this blog) and am thrilled to bits to join such a friendly, creative team - and to get to play even more with these fab images! So expect to see plenty more of Stitchy Bear's images cropping up on my blog.

That's it from me. My bed beckons and it's a busy day tomorrow as I've a good friend and her two little ones coming to stay for a couple of days... so there's gonna be 4 kids aged 3 and under in the house! Eeep! :)

Going Green

I have a new card to share with you, dear Reader, but first of all some exciting news - well, exciting to me, anyway! :)

I've thrilled to bits to have been invited to join the Design Team at the Sweet Pea Stampers challenge blog. I luuuurve Sweet Pea stamps and the last time I plucked up courage to count how many I have, it was 40+! Whoops!

So I am very happy to both have a bit of extra motivation/inspiration to use my Sweet Pea stamps and also to have the chance to - hopefully - inspire and motivate others to try out some of Sweet Pea's gorgeous images and join in the challenges.

The next challenge goes live tomorrow and is my first as a DT member - the theme is "recycled":

I've gone kind of "green/eco" with the whole theme of this card. I used one of my newest stamps - a gorgeous image by Meredith Dillman. I coloured her in forest colours using my Promarkers and cut her out. I used a kraft card blank and pretty K&Co papers - my recycled element is the distressed, inked piece of kraft paper behind the image... it's cut from a Muji paper bag that I am slowly cannibalising for various craft projects.

I also tried out my new Spellbinders bitty blossoms dies on this card and had lots of fun making these flowers. :)

I'm also entering this card for the April challenge at the One Sweet Challenge blog where, coincidentally, the theme is also "recycled"! :)
