WOYWW 190

There's been some experimentation going on in the craft pit recently... and the evidence is still lurking on the desk:

There's my very first print using my new Gelli plate - messy fun, definitely need to play with it more! - and a bit of an ongoing experiment involving a digi stamp, Promarkers and UTEE. Results to be shared tomorrow, I hope, when the project should be finished.

I have been crafting quite a bit this week but, as often seems to be the case lately, can't share much of it as it's design team stuff. However, before I toddle off to bed, I will share a card that I made recently and didn't put up on the blog because I wanted to be certain the recipient had received it first.

Not that my mum ever actually reads this blog but still...

It was her 65th birthday on Sunday and I had a play with my Stampin' Up! stash and made her this card:

I love fussy cutting and layering SU stamps and papers. So much fun and so pretty too. :) She liked the card and, by the sound of things, had a good birthday.

So Happy Birthday Mum. :)

Ah, the Gelli plate - RosC at No. 3 has been playing with her new one too, they do look like fun and your page looks great. Love the card, it is really beautiful. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #57

I am trying to resist the Gelliplate on the grounds that I have so many things to do already and there is other stuff coming soon (have you seen the new machine that will be coming from Spellbinders later this year? I digress). Aah so many projects, so little time. I am intrigued by the project on your desk - will tray and remember to return!! Cindy #70

What a lovely card you've made. We're quite tempted by the gelli plate too, but we're not sure if it would be one of Horace's fad items!

I have heard of the Gelli plates in several posts this week and I have never heard of them before. I am going to have to hold off and see what the do cause I haven't seen them around here at all and to buy and have them shipped would be cost prohibitive. Love your card! Thanks for sharing and have a great crafty week! Vickie #35

I like everything I have seen with the Gelliplates. I actually read a blog ages ago about using actual gelatine for printing but it all looked like a bit of a palaver. This new stuff looks a lot more stable and it doesn't "rot!"

Might have to have a play at some point....

Am enjoying seeing these Gelli plates popping up - it all seems likea lorra work to me, but everyone that's got one is really enjoying it - so that I'd say, makes them a huge success! Love the card you made for you Mama, beautiful colour choices.

I can't believe you have two computer screens on the same desk you craft at. If I did that, they'd both be covered in paint, lickity split!

Thank you for visiting. I'm fighting the tidy virus, but I'm not sure I'm winning.
Cheers, Rachel

I'm starting to think that I might have to give in and get a gelli-plate. I've made my own with gelatine before and it was so much fun. It would be great to just whip out the plate whenever I wanted rather than have to think ahead.
