WOYWW - 27 March 2012

I think it's time to admit that my good intentions of keeping my craft room tidy have... erm... shall we say, been allowed to let slide a little.

Yup. Just a little. ;)

I've not managed to keep up with my rule of clearing tools and products from the desk after finishing a project and have again resorted to the "push back/aside" method of desk tidying. As a consequence, my craft desk this morning looks like this:

Projects - and associated products - littering the desk include my tags from today's Creative Chemistry 101 class and some images and bits for a new project I'm playing with.

And as for the rest of the room... well, it's not as bad as it was but.... the "spare desk" has once again become a dumping ground for things needed to be "pushed aside" from the main desk:

I'm once again in danger of being left with only a narrow path from the doorway to the chair:

And every surface is once again piled high!

I think I need to find time for another, mini, tidying blitz. Not sure when I'll find the time though as I've got Timmy's class to work on, some project deadlines coming up, DD1's 3rd birthday next week and houseguests the weekend after! Ack!! Oh well. The tidying can wait a little longer... right? ;D

I think we just need to accept that crafting is messy. I don't feel so bad that I can't see my craft table

Golly, that really IS a big mess! Of course, I'm a neat freak, so I would have to say that. But I can tell you are very, very busy and the demands of life are sometimes overpowering. Happy WOYWW from #3.

Eeeeeek! LOL... yep, that's a pretty busy space you have going on there! I think after having two tables to work on for a while now I have come to realise that it is a waste... because you just use the second one for stuff.. and when you want the space it is covered up anyway... :( Annette #22

Love your space Ali! My paper crafting goes on at a table in my garage- it looks just like your, but this week I showed my sewing room which I have made much prettier lately. It's where I do beading too.

I think crafting messes are different than other messes - at least you have proof you are creating! :) I am loving Tim's class but I'm in the process of moving so all my stuff is packed. Can't wait to go back and redo the class when I have all my stuff to play with. Happy WOYWW 147 - Tammy #47

Tidying can ALWAYS wait in my house!! Once something has got dust on it, another layer doesn't matter :)

I'm really messy during a project, I quite enjoy clearing up again afterwards. As my craft space is in a room we have to walk through, ideally I should clear up after every project!

It can wait, but it sounds like it's starting to really bother you so I feel a big tidy-up coming asap. #158. Have a great week!

Wow that is a lot of stuff but as the experts are telling you, you can't cook an omelette without cracking an egg...oops maybe that was from another blog ;D

I still feel a little nosey snooping around your desk…I suppose that’ll soon disappear once I get into this WOYWW. ;D
Have a wonderful weekend Neesie #30

I spy Tim's tags...they look gorgeous. I love the way your craft supplies have "washed" across the room, looks like high tide at the beach, fabulous x

Oh dear, that Tim has a lot to answer for - he's clearly to blame for all the messy desks in evidence this week. However, I can still see your craft mat on your desk so things aren't that bad :) Hope you are having a good weekend. Elizabeth x #145

wow - you really are such a busy mum/crafter - there's no wonder you have a bit of piling up going on... you really do have the perfect excuse. I do envy the 'spare desk' you mentioned. If only! I sometime bring the camp table in (the table isn't camp mind, it's the table we take camping) lol....

I admire that you are able to get a little crafting done in between tending to your 2 little girls... good on you.

Thank you for sharing your workspace - and happy WOYWW 147
hugs
